Then you follow the instructions and when you get to the screen where you choose the drive to install Windows on you find your C: drive OS partition and format it to remove the previous Windows installation and all the other data and software and then click next.ĭon't do this unless you are happy to lose everything on the C: drive though. With Creative Cloud Libraries, you’ll have access to brand assets right inside your favorite Adobe apps like Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and XD. This is the best way to free up any space on your C: drive that could be taken up by hidden files. This will obviously delete all your data on the C: drive so make sure you transfer anything you don't want to lose onto your other drive or an external drive. One thing you can try is to format your C: drive and do a complete new clean Windows 10 install. The Creative Cloud software has to be installed on the C: drive, from the little I know about it so you may be out of luck. Without seeing what data and software you have it's hard to say what you can do. So I was wondering if I can transfer some storage space from D to C, but if that is not possible I guess I am screwed lol. I understand your suggestion of buying a new, bigger harddisk to replace my C drive, but I am honestly broke at the moment and cannot afford anything like that.

And i really need those programs cuz I signed up for a Graphic Design course to help me find a new job since I got laid off because of corona, and those programs are a requirement. My problem here is that most of the problems i want to install like Photoshop or Davinci, or Illustrator, still use the C drive no matter what and often cannot even run or whittle my C drive storage down to 3-4GB even though I install those programs on the HDD. But even with all of that I am down to only 11GB on the C drive. In this lesson, we are going to set up the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop app to install our chosen adobe products into a specified location that is not C driv.

I have been doing what you suggested since I got the laptop two years ago, moving everything i can possibly can onto the D drive (HDD), leaving only the essentials that cannot be moved, like Windows, on the C drive. So my question is, is there a way to transfer at least a 100GB from D to C? And the irony is, I have 500GB of empty space on my D drive just sitting there. It's frustrating, not to mention that i cannot even run the Adobe Creative Cloud. Every time I install anything, even if I put it on the D drive I click right away to check if I have any storage left on the C drive. I could install the Photoshop and Illustrator on my D drive but i was unable to use them because as soon as i started them up they started using C drive and said that the apps cannot work because there is not enough storage on C or something like that.ġ04GB is really not a lot for today's programs. I tried to install Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and I couldn't because the Creative Cloud application installs itself automatically onto the C drive. But for today's apps and programs this is not enough. The problem I have is that I am down to only 11GB on my C drive and I am keeping absolutely nothing that it is not required to be on it. If you're new/thinking about getting creative cloud we'll be happy to share our knowledge but please don't start threads just complaining about how you don't like the service.I have Dell G7 laptop and my C drive is 104gb, while D is 931GB. Other rules to be made up on the fly/based on up-voting.
